New FTC Law
Now I’m laughing at this whole FTC thingy…
It seems that all of a sudden there are a “great many gooroos or gurus” which find the need to “sell”something before tomorrow, December 1st!
I ask myself one question, WHY!
Selling this “stuff” day in and day out was all good for the pocket, WHY NOW?
Does this mean we have been mislead by these marketers? Does it mean that those “testimonials” they so adoringly post are not absolute truths? Does it mean that we may have been conned into thinking these GREAT programs actually work and will allow us to earn?
Why is it the New FTC Law seems to have invocted so many marketers to change their daily practices?
Caveat Emptor is now a thing of the past on the internet. Let the Buyer Beware no longer means you need to figure out what the product can do for you but, rather, it must be disclosed before you purchase. I like that idea myself and can be pretty sure you do also unless you are one of those which finds the need to remove your site by tomorrow!
Tomorrow is a BIG day for many but, it’s very insubstantial for more of us. We are the people who sell what we sell unabashadly, have no concerns that what we sell can be taken in a context other than what is stated. The procuct(s) we sell do EXACTLY what has been claimed. No more and no less!
If you sell affiliate products you may fall into a different catagory…
- Have you tested the product?
- Did it perform as stated?
- Did you make any indisputable claims?
The above is something which will be a near future post. In the mean time, please leave your thoughts on this whole FTC thingy!

I find this a refreshing twist on things.
Actually all of my online work is with affiliate marketing.
And some of it I have personally experienced, like the health products, and others, like the solar panels I have not yet, but will when available.
So I have no particular fear of the FTC at this point and only hope that this is all coming about to improve things not just to get the government involved so that they can make another run at controlling the internet like they have tried so many times before.
