What have they done for you other than “distract” you from your own work?

Pink Floyd wrote this song and I have decided to use it as my personal theme to Internet Marketing. Below are the lyrics with my personal relation to each line of the song. If you have been in this “game” for any amount of time, YOU are able to relate. OK, here goes….

That is ALL those emails asking me to purchase something, watch a FREE video which costs you when it’s over to get the next one. It may ONLY be your email address, but that is a cost and will get you more promotions…

More of the same from the Marketers and GooRoos! They all know what your problem is and they ALL have a solution. Hell, they will even make sure you put some money in your pocket! Of course, it NEVER works the way they tell you since they NEVER tell you everything!

Relax.
I need some information first.
Just the basic facts:
Can you show me where it hurts?

Back to the email. All you need to do is provide YOUR email and they will give you the remedy to what ails you. That is usually MONEY in their eyes. Your hurt and their WANT!

There is no pain, you are receding.
A distant ships smoke on the horizon.
You are only coming through in waves.
Your lips move but I cant hear what youre sayin.
When I was a child I had a fever.
My hands felt just like two balloons.
Now I got that feeling once again.
I cant explain, you would not understand.
This is not how I am.
I have become comfortably numb.

There is so much in this phrase it’s almost impossible to tell it all in words. I’ll give it a try…
It can’t hurt you since you are always going backward. All those who have tried before you have done what the 95% have done, FAILED.

You can tell the marketer what ever you want and they don’t listen since it’s not about them making money.  They can NEVER hear what you or I say since it does not make them money!

The next couple of  lines bear no relevance as far as I can see…

 Ok.
Just a little pinprick. [ping]
There’ll be no more –aaaaaahhhhh!
But you may feel a little sick.

That is EXACTLY what you have been getting. “Just a little pinprick!” Remember, it’s only money, it can’t hurt that much! Now that you are no longer able to pay the bills and keep you and your family happy, you may have some BAD feelings inside. That’s ok though cause there is more coming and you will get what you want. Hence the next…

 Can you stand up?
I do believe its working. good.
That’ll keep you going for the show.
Come on its time to go.

The above is the best marketers phrase of them all. It simply says you still have money so keep giving it to me until you have no more. It’s ok since he will move on and forget about you. YOU NEVER matter as long as you have money to throw his way!

I know you may not go along with what I have said and it does not pertain to ALL marketers. The above was just an insite to what I think with all the launches which have taken place during the recent past.

What do I mean by “comfortably numb?” That’s pretty simple really. Just as in Pink Floyd’s song, I have become comfortably numb. I can see a promotion, sale, pitch, or what ever you want to call it and immediatly delete it. No browsing or clicking links. Simply “DELETE” And then  I UNSUBSCRIBE!”

Look, it’s your money and you are able to do with it as you please. I for one cannot help support all the crap that hits my inbox every single day. The more they earn, the more afforadable it becomes to promote…

Sorry for the looong post but, I for one have become comfortably numb.
