I was waiting for a response to a question before adding this post but, not yet receiving the permission requested for the images, I decided to post this link instead.

Rich Cleland of the FTC

Jim Edwards has done a FANTASTIC interview with Mr. Cleland about the new FTC rules about to go effective on December 1st. I watched the complete video and must say there is MUCH enlightenment contained within! I you have some time, (a few hours to watch the entirety) it’s very much a MUST WATCH!

Jim asked the questions you and I want answered most as marketers or affiliates. Mr. Edwards answered them with straight forward answers as the FTC views the new rules! Believe me, it’s a complete what to do and what not to do 1 on 1 session which I cannot rate high enough!

Did I tell you it doesn’t cost you anything? Not even your email address! Go watch and let me know your thoughts. You won’t ever beat this inside info no matter what you may pay!

Monday, November 23rd, 2009

Beginning on Dec 1st 2009, the FTC is changing the rules for all online marketers and it’s something that YOU need to be paying attention to TODAY!

If you use testimonials, endorse or review products at all – which we all do as marketers, please go here to read the official statement:

I’m not a lawyer, nor do I proffess to have any legal experience, other than some run-ins with the law way back as a kid. ;) So instead of asking me to comprehend and/or break down these new laws, please check out these resources which explain things much better than I ever could:

These new FTC rules will be going into effect very soon and ALL marketers must be in compliance. Anyone who doesn’t abide by the rules may have their accounts terminated and will be responsible for any damages caused by their non-compliance.

I know, I know … that sounds harsh. It’s just the FTC is very serious and it’s important that marketers simply abide by the rules so we all can be both successful and legal in our marketing of products and services online.
